Project Overview.
Bechtel is seeking to expand its decades long relationship with Reliance by providing Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India.
Reliance plans to augment its existing petrochemical facilities in Dahej, Gujarat, and Nagothane, Maharashtra, to expand its PVC capacity.
The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India.
The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel’s India offices.
The positions on the project will start as assignment in Navi Mumbai, Dahej or Nagothane.
Job Summary.
In this role, you will be responsible for material management activities for a project or jobsite.
You will ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment.
You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing.
Your efforts will help ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management.
Major Responsibilities.
Responsible for material management activities for project temporary operating and jobsite locations on a medium sized project  Identifies the need and completing the action for all UOS&D material and equipment received at project temporary operating and jobsite locations  Initiates actions to identify and dispose of material and equipment declared excess to project needs by project management  Prepares recommendations for facilities and equipment necessary to provide for professional material management operations at project temporary and jobsite locations, as specifically directed by the Project Field Procurement Manager – this activity begins as early as practical in the planning stages and continues throughout the project    Education and Experience Requirements.
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or years of relevant work experience   Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
Knowledge of materials management automated systems, interfaces between systems, and how data is shared and managed.
Ability to blend materials management with project work packaging strategy.
Good organizational skills.
Knowledge of the full scope of materials management functions on a construction project, including personnel required to execute known workload.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Broad understanding of standard field procurement procedures, including knowing the requirements set forth in the Standard Work Process Procedures.
