Job Summary.
Located in Gurgaon, providing Supplier Quality Supervision to a project including participation in project & or shop quality surveillance in accordance with Bechtel Supplier Quality & Expediting Inc.
(BSQE), Global Business Unit (GBU) and project procedures.
This is a full-time position.
Job Dimensions.
Supervision Received Receives operational direction and project guidance for Supplier Quality activities from the Project Procurement Manager Receives functional guidance from the Regional Supplier Quality Manager.
Supervision Exercised Provide project-related direction and guidance to Project Supplier Quality Representatives and Area Supplier Quality Specialists.
Contacts Corresponds administratively with Project Procurement Manager, Functional Manager, the global business unit, BSQE, project Supplier Quality team, project engineering, procurement, quality assurance and construction personnel, and Area Supplier Quality Specialists.
Maintains contact with suppliers and with customers    Major Responsibilities.
Plan, prepare and administer Quality Surveillance Assignments (QSAs) for source surveillance, surveys and audits as required for project Coordinate with SQ Regional Managers and Supervisors for the allocation of resources for intended QSA's Reviews material requisitions including technical specifications with respect to quality requirements and participates with Engineering in determining the levels of surveillance required and establishing witness and hold points.
Assists in the development of the final bid list and the selection of a recommended bidder Participates in pre-award and post-award meetings/conferences with suppliers to review Area Supplier Quality's right of access, release for shipment authority, and notification on witness and hold points during quality surveillance activities Prepares quality surveillance and capability survey assignments for execution by the assigned Area Supplier Quality Specialists Investigate quality issues reported to the GBU Supplier Quality Manager on equipment/materials where quality surveillance has been performed.
Available documents such as UOS&Ds, Field Change Notices, back charge notices, NCR & Deviation Report registers, etc.
should be utilized during the investigation process Review, edit, accept and distribute reports in accordance with this Manual and Project Procedures.
Ensure survey and audit reports are approved and then posted into GSIS Regularly check anomaly code information and assignment information which has been siphoned from Quality Surveillance Reports into SAM is accurate and make any necessary corrections Participate in bidder pre-award and post-award activities and utilize SAM metric reports in bidder pre-award and post-award meetings and provide to SQR's to discuss known issues with suppliers during initial visits Coordinate review, obtain and resolve Project Quality Assurance and Engineering comments on quality surveillance plans when required by Project Procedures and Engineering Department Procedure Instructions (EDPI's) Monitor and report quality metrics established by the functional Supplier Quality Manager Notify the PPM and responsible project personnel of any significant problems and initiate timely follow-up Record and trend out of scope work resulting from activities being undertaken that were not originally estimated or planned Provide supplier submittal document registers to SQR's when requested or on a managed regular basis Facilitates communication between on and off project personnel across disciplines; provides project direction to assigned Supplier Quality Specialists and coordinates communication between Supplier Quality Specialists and project personnel to assist in resolving technical and quality issues arising from area/shop Supplier Quality activities.
Represents Supplier Quality in project meetings, project reviews, and in the resolution of issues relating to supplier quality.
Education and Experience Requirements.
Level 1.
Minimum 12 years of relevant construction project & industry experience in supplier quality, expediting, inspection, audits and testing activities.
Basic to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Prior supervisory experience or training in personnel evaluation and administration, assignment, and monitoring of workloads and in supervision and training of technical personnel.
Level 2.
Minimum 15+ Years of Relevant Work Experience Prior experience as SQS/SQR on Pre-FEED / FEED / EPC projects for M&M, Energy GBU's, recognized codes and standards, manufacturing methods.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
Experience with major commodities typically procured for Mining & Metals, Energy & Infrastructure projects, recognized codes and standards and manufacturing methods Performs Supplier Quality functions having some degree of complexity, e.
., preparation of detailed inspection plans for use on complete or uniquely designed systems; preparation of full scope man-hour and budget estimates for proposed intermediate-sized projects; review of complex technical specifications; or the establishment of project corrective action(s) to resolve nonconformances that have a significant impact on project cost/schedule   Total Rewards/Benefits.
