SENIOR INVESTMENT ANALYST

The Benefit Trust division manages $55 billion of global assets across DB and DC Plans.
The Investment Team shares responsibility for investing and managing global assets across public equity, fixed income, and private market strategies.
We are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst (“SFI”) to join the investment team.
The ideal candidate will support and partner with other members of the investment team in managing the Plans’ asset including, but not limited to, investment manager due diligence, approval process(es), manager on-boarding, funding, monitoring, and quarterly reporting; portfolio construction; strategic asset allocation, and asset rebalancing.
Key responsibilities.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional who is intellectually curious, and has strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
The candidate should have a passion for investing with a general knowledge of financial modeling, portfolio theory, capital markets and a curiosity to explore financial instruments and markets.
The Senior Investment Analyst will gain broad-based exposure to a variety of asset classes, including public and private equity, private credit, real estate, and fixed income strategies.
The Senior Investment Analyst will perform a variety of functions to support the investment team across all investment activities including, but not limited to.
· Operate as an integral member of the investment team by supporting the team on the full spectrum of evaluating both prospective and existing investments / managers across a range of asset classes, including public equities, fixed income, private equity, private credit, real estate, and co-investment opportunities.
· Provide analytical support across plans, particularly in the areas of.
1) Monitoring and assessing existing portfolio investments, including performance measurement and reporting, risk exposures, manager communications and news flow across asset classes.
2) Assist in new manager diligence by participating in calls and meetings, researching the opportunity set, assessing the overall performance, value-add attribution of the manager, and performing comparative analysis, performance attribution analysis, risk analysis, and liquidity analysis.
3) Assist in preparing strategic analyses of asset classes, reviews of capital allocations across plans, and oversight of portfolio exposures.
· The Johnson & Johnson Benefit Investments Team does not make use of a retained investment consultant; therefore, the role may have significantly more responsibility and portfolio impact than similar positions at peer institutions.
· The SFI must be able to maintain and cultivate relationships with internal staff and external partners.
· Contribute to ad hoc research or projects on different plans, markets, and investment strategies, such as financial modeling, benchmarking, manager onboarding, and auditing.
· Provide support to the team on daily, monthly, and quarterly activities including, but not limited to, plan asset rebalancing, liability hedging and funded status updates.
· Partnering with team members to prepare for investment and pension committee meetings and presentations globally.
1) Concisely summarize with practicality, relevant quantitative and qualitative top-down and bottom-up data.
2) Write and distribute manager and advisor meeting notes on a timely basis.
· Help maintain and improve on performance reporting and team workflow processes.
Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of investment related experience are required.
Candidates for CFA, CAIA, or other similar certifications are preferred but not required.
Successful candidates should have strong intellectual curiosity, and ability to that embrace learning and developmental opportunities with the potential to grow into a Portfolio Manager role within 2-3 years.
Good understanding and knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies; intellectual interest in pension investments.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, robust quantitative skills and modeling skills are preferred.
Ability to independently learn the Investment Team analytics software platforms.
Strong presentation, business framing, critical thinking and communication skills are required.
Must possess strong collaboration and influencing skills with both internal and external partners.
Candidate must be self-motivated with ability to multi-task and ability to effectively balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
This position may occasionally require overnight travel, including international travel.

According to current company guidelines, employees are expected to be in the office minimum 3 days a week.
The base pay range for this position is $ The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs.
Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year.
Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
