Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Strategy Development in Mining Service Procurement Organization, as a Regional Category Manager, you will be responsible to lead the development of strategic improvement initiatives to realize saving potential by means of regional/local purchasing volume steering, cost structure analysis and the application of commercial, technical and procedural levers.
The focus of this role will be on the development of price agreements, lead time reductions and supplier’s sustainability.
The Procurement Strategy & Development team is part of Service Procurement.
Together, we ensure that our aftermarket customers are served on time, in budget and always at the expected quality level.
We are a major driver of the company’s growth and profitability targets being accountable for the major portion of our COGS.
The global Procurement Strategy & Development team has the overall strategic responsibility for the categories and builds the commercial fundament.

Your responsibilities Identifies savings initiatives within the category and drives prioritized initiatives in collaboration with Regions.
Identifies gap/disruptions in supply chain and manage solutions with Global Category Management and local/regional Procurement in terms of lead times, price agreements, etc.
Connects category spending and procurement people across the region to bundle spend and ensure regional alignment and compliance with global directives Develops a network of regional key category stakeholders in FLS BL Service for effective implementation of savings initiatives Evaluates the business relevance and priority of savings initiatives considering current and forecasted local business demand Analyses the regional demand and supply development in order to guarantee supply for key strategic parts according to customer requirements Owns the relationship to key vendors residing in the assigned region and develops them into strategic partners to enable advanced initiatives, i.
