Job Description The Construction Mechanical Engineer makes sure that what is indicated in the electrical drawings is properly built as well as that the materials and equipment are reviewed, approved, manufactured, and delivered on site when required, he ensures the quality of the work meets requirements.
Likewise, it verifies that there are no security risks during the execution of construction tasks that could impact people.
Responsibilities.
Responsible for oversight of Mechanical contractors Responsible for conducting construction coordination meetings with the team members, OFE vendors and GC regarding Mechanical issues Responsible to conduct regular site inspections for progress/quality and safety purposes in Mechanical works.
Responsible for liaising with Mechanical technical inspectors and commissioning agents for Mechanical activities.
Responsible for producing Mechanical daily/weekly/monthly  reports.
Responsible to review and provide feedback and responses on GC (Mechanical)  daily/weekly / monthly reports  Support in constructability review of documents Responsible for conducting and signing off on OFE CDE reports and technical recommendations for GC equipment, materials and subcontracts.
Responsible for tech evaluation of purchases and subcontracts regarding Elec.
specialty Support on commissioning activities Support on verification of contractor’s progress Support on equipment and OFE contracting and expediting Support on update of the project schedule according to contractor schedule and progress Support on vendor performance review Support on developing equipment and material requisitions by drafting scope and gathering technical specification Support on developing contracts requisitions by drafting scope and gathering technical specification of Mechanical discipline Support on reviewing engineering deliverables and check compliance with client’s requirements Support on QA/QC process during the project Manage Mechanical technical inspection activities Qualifications   Minimum of 15 years professional experience.
5 years experience in the role   Experience/Skills/Education.
Degree Bachelor´s Architecture, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Previous experience in specific Project management & design management for Industrial Projects Experience in end to end service full project delivery Experience in being involved in Industrial Projects.
