FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - CONSTRUCTION

Lead the Accounting Operations for Award Winning Construction Company Located in the Greater Hartford CT Area, On Site Position About Our Client The Financial Controller - Construction will be a key part of the Leadership team for a Mid-Sized, Well-Established General Contracting Construction Company based in the Greater Hartford CT Area.
The role will oversee the Accounting team and be a key Finance Business Partner to Divisional Heads in Operations.

Job Description We are working with a mid-sized General Contracting Construction company in the Greater Hartford CT area.
The Financial Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organization and reporting the CEO/CFO with Financial Strategic Planning.
Construction Project Accounting and Reporting.
Oversee and manage all aspects of construction project accounting.
Prepare and analyze project financial reports.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of project costs, revenues, and profitability.
Monitor project budgets and forecasts.
Procore Invoicing, Project Collections, and Communications.
Manage invoicing through Procore software.
Ensure timely and accurate billing to clients.
Oversee project collections and resolve any billing issues.
Maintain effective communication with project managers and clients regarding financial matters.
Sales Tax Reporting and Compliance.
Ensure compliance with all sales tax regulations.
Prepare and file sales tax returns.
Keep abreast of changes in sales tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
Effective Communication with Project Team Members.
Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure financial transparency.
Provide financial insights and support for project decision-making.
Responsible for the Accounting Team including A/P and A/R Functions.
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Act as a backup for A/P and A/R functions when necessary.
Monthly Accounting Functio Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
Assist with annual audits and tax preparations.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
The Successful Applicant CPA (preferred, not essential) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Field 10 + years of Construction Accounting tenure Finance team leadership experience Systems.
