Job Summary.
In this role, you will manage the organization and direction of project construction activities and oversee total site management including supervision of client contractors, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, and finance and accounting.
Your leadership will ensure project operations are compliant, safe, timely, within scope and budget, and clients are satisfied.
This key project leader for the construction management team will oversee construction of a multibillion-dollar light rail project in the Los Angeles area.
Major Responsibilities.
Leadership/Supervision Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of a single construction project, including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
Acts as primary client contact for all project field activities.
Oversees total site management including supervision of client contractors, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, finance and accounting services, and craft resource personnel as applicable.
Maintains client relationship and is the primary contact for client’s communication with the field activities and effective relation with other functional departments.
Coordinates all project contractual activities.
and participates in the development of contract, subcontract, or vendor scopes of work, budgets, contract formation, and negotiations   Planning Oversees  client expenditures for client contractors and ensures field operations are within the budget.
Establishes project field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures as necessitated by conditions at a jobsite.
Develops, implements, and administers a jobsite security plan and coordinates the activities with corporate security department.
Safety & Quality Ensures development and execution of strategies and plans for project automation, environmental compliance, safety, site surveying, non-manual staffing, contracting, labor strategy, construction execution, and job-site work rules.
Plans and establishes procedures to ensure construction operations meet engineering designs and specifications     Education and Experience Requirements.
Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience   Required Knowledge and Skills.
Technical knowledge and experience of relevant construction methods and systems including.
Utility relocations Major bridge construction over water crossings.
Slope stability works.
Viaducts Railroad construction Ability to research and understand local codes and jurisdictional requirements for the project.
Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
Experience with successful interface management on Light Rail projects.
Experience working in a PMC/Delivery Partner model.
