Project Overview.
Thai Oil Refinery is the largest petroleum refining plant in Thailand.
Currently the refining capacity is BPD and main products are petroleum, petrochemical products, and lube base oil.
The refinery is located near Laem Chabang Port in Sriracha, Chonburi that assists in transportation of the products to the customers.
Thai Oil is going ahead with the major expansion of the existing refinery to enhance its refining capacity and producing clean fuels.
The expansion project of the refinery includes.
Increasing crude distillation capacity from 275 to 400 KBD with improved energy efficiency.
Clean fuels upgrade to meet Euro-V specifications and World Bank emissions standards and Thai regulations.
Installation of new units along with the modification, demolition, relocation, and replacement of existing facilities.
Job Summary.
As a Construction / Area Manager, you will be responsible for the Construction Management activities within your designated area of Authority.
You will be instrumental in influencing the SubContractor to complete all the Construction activities through Mechanical Completion and Hand Over to Commissioning.
Your oversight will ensure that the work is executed productively and complies with project policies, procedures, and is performed within project specifications and schedule.
Major Responsibilities.
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an indepth knowledge of Construction Execution related to Petrochemical Industrial Plants.
Reviews construction forecast, schedules, for acceptability and correctness.
Assures adherence to schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
Requires frequent interactions involving special skills such as negotiating and/or attempting to influence with, customers and/or various Contractor management personnel.
Provides consultation, technical guidance and direction to Construction and other support functions.
Ensures compliance with project procedures necessary to perform construction in accordance with project technical requirements.
Education and Experience Requirements.
years relevant experience in Construction management of large scale Industrial plants.
Strong Piping Background with extensive experience in the delivery of Piping systems from Material delivery to Commissioning.
Proven effective communication and Leadership skills.
Required Knowledge and Skills.
Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies and jobsite management.
Strong understanding of all phases of piping installation and execution phases from delivery of material to precommissioning of piping systems and hand over to commissioning.
Knowledge of Sub-Contractor management principles and effective communication in order to influence, motivate and direct stakeholders not under direct supervision.
Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards and Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy.
Able to maintain a focus on quality that produces deliverables that meet project objectives and standards.
