Job Summary.
In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts.
Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
Major Responsibilities.
On a medium to large (PFE Tier I - Proactively engages with their teams’ development through CPM, competency development/assessment and feedback  Leads construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline.
Coordinates with design on constructability issues.
Reviews material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
Possesses responsibility for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting.
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
Possesses responsibility for coordinating between Construction and Startup to ensure the various system walkdowns are performed, interfacing with the Startup Specialist as required to support component/system turnover and assuming responsibility (as required) for area turnover coordination as determined by the PFE.
Reviews and approves inspection test plans,  Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals    Education and Experience Requirements.
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and  years of relevant experience or years of relevant work experience   Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets Manages engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals Utilizes and leverages applicable automation software and processes as applicable Monitors the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
Reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
Manages the coordination with other subcontractors and external stakeholders (or subcontractors) to plan construction schedules Previous experience in both EPC and CM roles beneficial   Total Rewards/Benefits.
