Job Description The finance team is crucial for maintaining financial health and stability.
This team comprises accounts payable, tax and treasury, payroll, and investor relations.
Together, they manage financial planning, transactions, compliance, and investor communications, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and meets its strategic goals.
The Accountant will oversee tasks performed by the Endava Shared Service Centre, manage monthly VAT filings, and handle reporting to the Bureau of Statistics and Croatian National Bank.
Responsibilities include reviewing payroll reports from external providers, approving payments in the e-banking system, and supporting the Finance Manager with statutory financial statements.
Additionally, the Accountant will liaise with auditors and governmental bodies, ensure SOX compliance in accounting, payroll, and reporting, and perform internal control responsibilities as part of Endava’s SOX program.
It's important to note that this is a fixed-term contract for 18 months, as a replacement for maternity leave.
Responsibilities.
Oversee accounting tasks performed by the Endava Shared Service Centre;  Monthly VAT filing, periodical Bureau of Statistics and Croatian National Bank reporting;  Oversee and review monthly payroll reports received from the external payroll provider;  Approving payments in the E-banking system;  Support the Finance Manager in preparing statutory financial statements; Liaise with local auditors and governmental bodies; Ensure SOX controls related to the area of responsibility in accounting, payroll, and reporting are designed, implemented, and performed in accordance with prescribed SOX requirements; Perform internal controls responsibilities in accordance with Endava’s SOX compliance program.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or a similar area; 1+ years of experience as an Accountant or Finance specialist;  Excellent knowledge of Croatian accounting legislation and in-depth understanding of relevant IFRS accounting principles;  Proven experience with preparing monthly VAT filings and year-end closing process;  Experience with Payroll process is considered an advantage; Additional qualification (certified accountant) considered an advantage;  Proficient MS Office skills (particularly Excel/Google Sheets);  Previous experience working with Oracle Fusion ERP and/or exposure to SOX compliance would be a big plus;  Fluent English – both written and spoken is mandatory.
